Honorable Mention at COAL's Feb. 2012 show

I have a Beatles encounter for you. Once I was walking down 57th street in NYC when I saw in the distance walking towards me John & Yoko. Everyone passing was saying Hi to John and ignoring Yoko. So when they were passing me I said hi to Yoko and ignored John. This seemed to amuse them, so they stopped, turned and posed for me. I had a large motorized Nikon, but I had run out of film. We just starred at each other for an awkward moment. Then John shrugged, looked at Yoko, they then turned and went on their way. Sure wish the had digital cameras then! Me . John and Yoko would have been old friends by now and I would have been with them that fateful night and tackled the gunman.... Ok maybe I'm getting carried away.

1982, I was sitting at the bar at the Grassroots Tavern in NYC's , East Village (St. Marks Place to be exact). I was chatting with Bill Murray and Lourne Michaels who wandered into my favorite bar and took the 2 empty seats next to me. I mentioned to Bill that we had a mutual aquaintance my cousin John Caglione who did his special effects make-up on the original Saturday night live. I also mentioned that John just had a baby girl. This got Bills attention. He asked for her name, but I couldn't remember. Bill starts yelling at me (in a friendly way ) "How could you not know your cousins daughters name!!! At which time he took Lournes newspaper and whacked me on top of my head. LAUREN!! OK so I'm 29 years to late.

P.S. The background is the real "Grassroots Tavern" at 20 St.Marks Place, NYC.
